Why Choose Performance Iso-Energy?

Everything you need to perform at your best + a tasty fruit punch flavour! If you’re looking for something to put a spring in your step before your workout, provide your body with the nutrients it needs to make energy and help keep you hydrated, you’ve found it! Performance ISO Energy Powder combines an array of different carbohydrates, branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) and vitamins into a tasty isotonic drink. It’s super easy to make too, just pop it in a shaker with some water and shake until smooth and ready to enjoy before, during, or after your workouts.

Carbohydrates

However hostile the fitness world can sometimes be towards them, there’s no denying that carbs are important for energy and performance, especially when you are working out. When you consume carbohydrates, they are converted into glucose, the primary fuel that the body uses to power all cellular activity, and that’s without putting exercise on top. Carbohydrate loading, aka fuelling your body with carbs before a workout, is a strategy which is widely employed by endurance athletes, making this an ideal product for sports professionals. An athlete will use between 80-90% of their energy from carbohydrates when taking part in long distance or endurance events, this will mostly come from the glycogen stores in the muscles, which should be replaced quickly. You don’t have to be an athlete to feel the benefits of ISO energy, though. Try working out without consuming carbs before / during, and then try working out with carbs in your system – you should feel it working when it comes to performance and energy.

BCAAs

‘Branched Chain Amino Acids’ is the collective name given to the proteins valine, leucine and iso-leucine. Most dietary protein gets processed in the liver, but BCAAs get processed in the muscles. These amino acids are essential amino acids because they can’t be synthesised by the body and must be obtained from your diet.

Vitamins

There are many vitamins hard at work in our body’s metabolic system, aka where our foods and drinks get turned into energy. The following vitamins contribute to this energy-yielding metabolism+, and can all be found in each serving of ISO energy:

  • Vitamin C
  • Thiamin
  • Niacin
  • Vitamin B6

When should I drink ISO Energy?

ISO Energy can be consumed before training, during your workout/sport session and after exhaustive exercise sessions. It’s easy to make too and mixes well with plain water. You can even spice it up by mixing it with fruit juice or squash – it still does the same job!
