Unlike synthetic hair dyes that chemically change the structure of your hair, this plant-based dye is non-invasive, gently coating your hair shaft with a semi-transparent, semi-permanent layer of colour. The final colour will partly depend on the colour of your hair underneath, making it lighter where your initial hair colour is light and darker where your initial hair colour is dark.

On very light coloured, grey or white hair this Chestnut shade is likely to be auburn colour. On dark blonde to light brown hair it is likely to be less auburn and more of a warm brown. On medium brown hair it is likely to be a darker warm brown. If your hair is a salt-and-pepper mix of brown and white, then the overall effect will average out, with brown hair going a darker warm brown and white hair going an auburn colour. A darker colour can be obtained by repeated applications. The longevity of the Chestnut shade depends how porous your hair is and how often you wash it. It tends to last on average about 3 to 4 weeks on the roots. However, it can also become more permanent on porous hair such as the older, longer lengths of your hair which tend to be more weathered and porous further from the roots.

Directions:

Read and carefully follow all the instructions enclosed in the pack. To summarise, the Herbal Hair Colour powder is mixed with warm water before application. The paste is left on your hair for 1 to 3 hours depending on the depth of colour required. We strongly recommend doing a strand test first before putting the colour all over your hair, because the colour result can be different on different people’s hair. You should wait 24 hours after the strand test to see how the colour develops, because it oxidises and darkens over time. Keep the packet tightly sealed when not in use. Store in a cool, dry place.
