MacuShield Original Chewable provides a MacuShield Original formulation with additional vitamin B2 which helps maintain normal vision. The product is a one-a-day, bilberry flavoured chewable tablet which is suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Scientific research shows that three nutrients; meso-zeaxanthin, lutein and zeaxanthin are found at the back of the eye, at the macula, where they form the macular pigment (yellow colour). Meso-zeaxanthin is particularly concentrated at the centre of this pigment. Lutein and zeaxanthin can be found in fruits and vegetables and meso-zeaxanthin is present in some species of fish and seafood. The macular carotenoids in MacuShield Original Chewable are obtained from marigolds (Tagetes Erecta), specifically grown for this purpose.
